My approach integrates a caring presence with emotions-focused therapies, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, EMDR, somatic (body-based) therapies, mindfulness, radical acceptance and self compassion, transpersonal psychotherapy, and narrative therapy. Together with my clients I tune into the body's wisdom to allow it to guide them to a state of wellness. I offer reflections, teachings from both traditional and scientific sources, and practices to help along the way.

My approach towards healing is collaborative, intuitive, and strength based. My goal is to create a space where you can be authentically yourself. I believe laughter and shared humor can be a meaningful part of effective and collaborative therapy. I am trained in EMDR, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed practices, with the integration of accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy.

I am committed to using a person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally-responsive approach. I take a relational approach to counselling and believe that the client is the expert who brings a wealth of knowledge through their lived experiences. I primarily work with clients on concerns related to anxiet, life transitions, depression, self-compassion, boundaries, and emotional distress. I have experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, interpersonal or relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, as well as everyday stresses and challenges. It’s a great privilege as a counsellor to get to hear what is important to each individual and to reflect on these together. My areas of focus include working through times of life transitions such as shifts in career, relationships, family, home, health, or identity, as well as the impacts of trauma, grief, and stress. I have an interest in men’s mental health, as well as experience working with Indigenous communities and newcomers. I have additional training in: AEDP, Narrative Therapy Foundations, Somatic Experiencing, and Sanyas Indigenous Cultural Safety – Mental Health (in progress).
