Offering Affordable Counselling

I am currently pursuing a Master of Counselling from Gonzaga University and I have a Bachelor of Science in Combined Biology and Psychology from the University of Victoria.

My background holds experience mentoring and coaching teenagers and young adults through life transitions, as well as creating safe systems and strategies for neurodivergent teenagers as a tutor.

Caitlin's Approach

I believe that you are the expert on your experiences, and that together we can explore them to help bring about lasting change. Nobody choses to be born into systems that hurt us, and navigating life can be exhausting, and you don't have to do it alone. Seeking counselling is incredibly courageous and you have already taken that first step!

My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space and strong therapeutic relationship to allow you to explore how your experiences are coming up for you, pacing each session according to your needs. Together we can navigate pre-existing strengths, barriers and your natural resilience and capacity to heal through an intersectional and trauma-informed lens.

I believe that healing is holistic; involving the physical, emotional and spiritual parts of our self. My hope is to allow you a space to stop overthinking and over rationalizing your emotions and experiences, to move to a place of self-acceptance and trust. My areas of interest are depression, anxiety, imposter syndrome, self-esteem, life transitions and menopause. Practicing from a primarily person-centred perspective, I pull from existential approaches, emotions-focused therapies, somatic and accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP). Please don’t hesitate to reach out for a free 20-minute consultation.
